"FARNSWORTH HOUSE"
P02
In this second assignment, students are required to produce two dimensional and three dimensional drawings through orthographic projections, axonometry and perspective. The project are to divided into three parts which is part 2A, 2B and 2C.
Part 2A
I initiate by doing research for the dimensions in 1:100 scale and drawing for the first three orthographic part which is the masterplan, elevations and sectional. For this part, i begin with drawing the floorplan, followed by the elevations which is the south and east elevation to present a better view in the drawing. Then, continue by drawing the sectional part which I labelled the cutting on the masterplan to draw.
Part 2B
I start of axonometric drawing by drawing a draft on butter paper to visualise the drawing by utilising the floorplan that I have drawn earlier. I apply trimetric axonometry for my drawing and ensuring all the angles are correct and details are clear enough to be seen. I conduct a research on how to draw the axonometry by using Youtube to show appropriate drawings. The drawings are to be drawn at portrait A3 paper.
Part 2C
Finishing with the last part of the drawing which is the one point and two point perspectives drawing to present a greater angle and views of the house. Same steps were taken by drawing the draft on a butter paper first before continuing the actual drawings.
The Finale
Touching up for the finishing with different line weight of felt tip pen to give a realistic effect and bolder line weights for each of the drawings.
Reflection
By Chelsea Oloan
It was a memorable experience and opportunity to have this assignment as I have a big enthusiasm for drawings especially orthographic drawings. It really challenged my mind where the dimensions have to be accurate and thanks to scale ruler tools where I have discovered and learn the proper usage of it to realising my drawings.
(2. Lifelong Learning)

Not to forget that I encounter some problems in doing the drawings especially in the axonometric and two point perspective drawing which is challenging in determine the angles and to draw it based on the correct perspective. It took me a deep understanding to learn how to draw by watching different versions of tutorials.
(3. Thinking and Problem Solving Skills)

Thanks to my friends who have helped me by giving some ideas and information about the Farnsworth House to ease me when I encountered error in the drawings.
